My work explores the relationship between imagery and materials, focusing on how visual language can be translated into textile structures. I emphasize material behavior, structure, and interaction with the body.

I draw inspiration from natural textures such as plant growth, wood grain, and organic surfaces. Rather than directly depicting these forms, I focus on qualities like irregularity, layering, and rhythm, translating them into textile structures through knitting, weaving, and mixed media. This approach shifts the work from being “seen” to being “felt.”

I experiment with different yarns, densities, and techniques to explore how softness, tension, and transparency can coexist within a single piece. Through layering, draping, and assembly, the work develops dimensional surfaces that relate to both the body and surrounding space. I am interested in how textiles can move beyond visual objects to shape spatial experience and influence how we interact with our environment.
